Bottled Sunshine had some hail damage to plant so these scapes were hard to get. Sorry they look so out of sync. Jury is out on this one.

And Brutus, that oldie I showed first blooms on in last post. These are 7-8 inch blooms and make quite a statement. Apologize for mushies. I would have had to tie a rope to a tree to pull myself out of this garden mud after the rain. This is this morning‘s clump.

Love the name Brutus and the flower is very pretty. Love the color on Aslan. So perfect on the edges. Gasping for Breath is a beauty either light or dark. Nice group.

We just had a torrential downpour with thunder and lightning.

Willow Dean Smith is the best here! Wow! EITV is next. I had hoped to finally get to Rice's Thoroughbred Daylilies this summer, but then the surgery happened. O well, next summer.

Gasping for Breath is the kind of plant I like...Pretty color, bright neat edges...Laura is doing her thing and looking good at it. I haven't seen Pik Plastic Flamingos...Like it though. Willow Dean Smith is always a beauty! Brutus is big, huh? That is what I am considering for a name for the new garden cat that wouldn't give up on being here. That looks like a winner from here. Sometimes, a plant that looks good and blooms well just doesn't appeal...No understanding it, but there it is...I was that way about Woodstock Revival. My friend is excited to get it. so okay.

Julia, you can’t tell from that far away but Brutus has that softly brushed bronze overlay that keeps it from being just another big yellow although that would not bother me either!

Brad, I hope you get to make that trip next summer. Sounds like fun!

Kay, Plastic Pink was a gift plant hence the puny part I suppose. It has turned out to be a pleasant surprise however. I think I like it too. And that Bridgeton plant always just looks muddy to me-

I have “acquired“ a Brutus cat too. Definitely feral but loves to eat! He follows me around the garden and if he gets left behind comes running up to “hug” my legs-unfortunately he does this with claws out! And if in front of me he falls on the ground to be petted but almost trips me! So if you hear I have fallen and broken a leg or arm, it will be because of him!!

Surprisingly enough, our Gasping for Breath is looking pretty good this year. It does have a nice bloom. Hope yours finally gets established and flourishes.

It's been rainy here too. We have already had rain today and it is beginning to thunder again. If the daylilies aren't damaged by the rain, they sure look good--lush and large.

Plastic Pink Flamingos is my other choice today.

Your potted plants seem to be growing like gangbusters. Gasping for Breath is beautiful in both shots. I do like that clump of Brutus, and I think your Willow Dean is darker than mine this year. I'm glad your photos finally posted.

Gasping for Breath is very pretty. I like Pink Plastic Flamingos too. Brutus is impressive! I know what you mean about the rain! We got a lot of thunder and lightening earlier today, not too much rain, but started up again and sounds like another downpour. I don't mulch on my iris bed, and badly need to get in and clean it up. I tried one day last week, I pulled a few weeds and was covered in mud. That was before we got the heavy storms.

Aslan's a pretty example of the off white lipstick pink eyed/edged ones......Brutus is such a bright cheery yellow and yellow is my "thang". Spectacular clump.....Understand about the rain. We got over 2 inches Sunday early and then another storm south of us threatened us again Sunday night. I heard the longest roll of thunder I'd ever heard before. Sounded like a plane had stalled out over our house. We need to dry out. I've got a dozen mail order plants I haven't been able to put in the ground since late spring. I'm tired of watering their pots.............Maryl

I'm not normally as drawn to the 'toothy' daylilies as other forms but I do love the look of your Gasping for Breath in that second photo all opened up nicely. It's weird because some toothy ones really appeal to me and other ones just don't. I guess you'd say I'm 'selective'. I really, really like Plastic Pink Flamingos! That's my kind of daylily there. Willow Dean Smith never takes a bad photo, does it? I hope you dry out soon.
