I really like your Purple Passions Promise. Along with your seedling and Dearest Valentine, of course. I was expecting some friends to see the garden today. Fortunately, they put it off til another day. Some looked fine, but the majority were a soggy mess after the rains here this morning.

Nancy - There were lots of soggy and shredded blooms here today. I think it's good that your friends postponed their garden tour.

Sword of Justice looks like it will be a good one, Wiggles worth is fun and attractive...love the name. Your bed shot is awfully pretty, and your two creations are gorgeous.

You can tell that Purple Passion is out of Jerry Hyatt. All of My Love to You is a tough plant. Sword of Justice looks good. Don't see quite as much pattern as in E's pictures, but it's clean.

Mantis - Karol told me I would likely not get the patterns on Sword of Justice in my climate. But I'm crossing it with cultivars that always show patterns in the heat. Again, I bought this one more for hybridizing than its garden presence.

Heavy rains are not what we usually have in summer in Oklahoma, so I haven't had that much experience with looking at rain damage. I was loaded with blooms when it poured down Sunday (over 2 inches) and what a sorry sight that was to see after it stopped. Gives new meaning to me to daylilies that can resist that kind of damage. Dearest Valentine has all kinds of merits to it. Looks great for you as always...........Maryl

There are so many here to comment on! Purple Passion's Promise is one I haven't seen before and you bet, I love it!! It's dark purple and it's out of Jerry Hyatt! I also love Wigglesworth, which is the kind daylily which puts a smile on my face., both for the form and for the catchy name. Sword of Justice is another I haven't seen before and it looks grand. Everything here in this post is beautiful and your seedlings are awesome.

They look good in spite of the rain! You and Kay sure seem to get a lot of rebloom. I usually only get a few as I am on the border of the N & S climates.

Brad - I do always get some rebloom. But when you consider the hundreds I have that are supposed to rebloom, but never do, it's a small percentage of my collection. I noticed all that rain yesterday pushed up rebloom scapes on Abilene Lillian, Men in Black, Forty Days and Forty Nights and Feathered Fingers. Two of my new seedlings have instant rebloom scapes, and I'm thinking about cutting them off so the plants can put more energy into multiplying.

Debra I really like Sword of Justice even if is not showing all the pattern. Lovely colors. And Mississippi Magistrate looks to be giving you a show with all those buds! Purple Passion‘s Promise has fabulous color.

All so beautiful! I'm partial to Passion's Promise myself, and the gorgeous saturation of color to your red seedling.

Celeste, Kate, and Alex - My photo probably makes the color on Purple Passion's Promise a bit darker than it really is. I took the photo when it was overcast and sort of dark. The bloom is smaller than I prefer, but the color is so rich I wanted to try it.

Kate - I do think Sword of Justice is attractive, and I was happy just to see the little white arrows in the eye. Mississippi Magistrate surprised me with all those buds. I grew it before years ago, and it never did that well then. It must have found its sweet spot.

Purple Passion's Promise is sure a rich color. My picks today, though, are your seedling and Dearest Valentine. It's nice that your red seedling can take the rain. I can't believe your season is far enough along that you are seeing rebloom scapes. We are just getting started here.

Hoosier Nancy - My season began on May 17 with the extra earlies, so mine have been blooming for awhile now.
