Is that tile or stone on the fireplace? And was it cut in random pieces? Or bought that way?

It is a specialty stone per the owner selection. Sorry but I don't recall the specifics at this time.

There are several MCM homes here in Vestavia Al using that stone for firelplaces and exterior accents. We use locally sourced sandstone cut into variable sizes.
