Depending on how they have been stored while in your possession, they may not even be viable. Both the LOV and peony are sold while in a dormant status, which is a pretty inferior way of dealing with perennials to begin with. Always better to get rooted starts rather than bare root stock, especially that late in the season....the roots just don't survive that treatment for long.

The best you can do now is pot them up - or plant - and hope for the best. Same with the hyacinth bulb, which is likely a holdover from last fall. But if it's the slightest bit soft or squishy, just throw it away.
