House is new to me. I have an entryway with an odd angled wall and I’m not sure what to do with it.

at my old place, I had a small rectangular entry table with a beautiful oval blue wooden-framed mirror over it. I just LOVE that mirror. The table is currently sitting a corner, helping an old sideboard hold our furniture assembly tools:

I tried putting that small rectangular table on the angled wall and it doesn’t really work there, it juts out just enough to make walking into the adjacent room a bit awkward.

Would you put a small shelf there, with the mirror? Or just have entryway stuff on a longer table against the staircase, and use the mirror elsewhere?
