By the look of the last photo, you probably changed the foot print of the kitchen (the wood looks raw = unfinished). If the wood needs it, then a full sand and refinish can be done. When was the last time the floors were refinished? If it was 20 years ago (or so) then a full redo is recommended.

Are there any areas (like in entranceways) that look like the finish has worn through? If so, then a full sand and refinished is HIGHLY recommended.

If your floors do not need the sand/refinish, a flooring professional can do a patch (of finish) in the areas where the raw wood is showing through. The dark black marks need to be identified and then removed with the appropriate cleaner. If you are bringing in a flooring professional to patch the finish, you might as well get him/her to sand out that area and patch it while they are working on the other areas.
