Happy Independence Day Blooms

I got out early to beat the heat. I discovered I missed FFOs from the past 3 days and some of those weren't blooming today. But I did get some FFOs today, and a few better pictures from the sunny ones or late day ones previously.

Surgeon follow-up report: everything looks good. At my follow-up on the 24th, if all continues as it is going, I will be able to start putting some weight on my leg and walk using crutches.

Brave World. For the first time ever for me it is tall. It, Castle Pinkneye and a few others are tall for the first time. I wonder if the fact that I fertilized for the first time in many years helped.

VT Autumn Fire. It is the earliest of the VTs that Celeste sent. It is well budded. The others are just getting scapes. They really extend the season.

Well, Houzz says I'm done. I've a few more for later.

Sherry and I must think alike. My favorites were Lord Chamberlain and the NOID. It sounds like you're making great progress post-op!

Trying some more. My newest seedling from So Lovely and Priscilla's Rainbow continues to change. It has a full cream edge now. The eye is darker that the photo, and the throat just glows. It has become more lavender and veined.

Wilson Spider is going to have a small year. I thinned it last fall so less scapes and buds.

Metaphor looking exceptionally good.

Main bed shots. They come out better using panoramic view on the camera.

Your beds look full of blooms, so plenty for you to see when you do get out.....I like all your lavenders, including your lavender seedling. Not a huge UF fan, but Wilson's Spider looks particularly good........Glad to hear you are progressing. This time next year it will all be water under the bridge.........Maryl

Lord Chamberlain and your pale lavender noid are my favorites (me and my purples!). Glad to hear that VT Autumn Fires has a good bud count there. It always does super here and blooms for an extended time. I'm also glad to hear your good report.
