Shutter color for dark navy exterior

We are painting out 1930s colonial a dark navy (hale navy by Benjamin Moore) with white trim and are struggling with the shutter color. The windows are oversized and there is a larch arched window over the front entrance that will also have shutters. White seems to be a lot of white and black a bit too dark. Right now we are toying with the idea of using the same house color (Hale navy) in a semi gloss sheen or going with a medium blue grey (Benjamin Moore eclipse Or wolf grey). Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions. The painter is finishing this week! Thank you

    Not without a picture! Why not the white ? Are you sure you NEED the shutters?
