My wisteria is in umbrella form and has to be cut at weekly to keep it in shape. The other one is free form and takes up a tree and about 400 square feet. It also invades a storage building. You may not want the hassle of trying to control it, Wisteria is beautiful, but has a short bloom time for the inconvenience. I'd prefer a vining bloomer like morning glories for day time and moon flowers for night. You might like a climbing yellow or pink rose.

I would break up the straight lines of the side walk by adding pavers or flagstone curved walkway up under the pergola. need curvy planter beds. Too many straight lines.

I like the idea of a pergola and patio as in this excellent example below. Take out that lonely tree. As for the colors, sage on the body , tan trim with chocolate and mustard accents would be great. Love the shingles on the peak .

Would you recommend a dark sage? The house has been white for about 20 years and it was yellow before.

Or maybe these colors? With our brown metal roof?

Yes - additional recommendations : start by removing shrub / tree near curb and the one by the front entrance, both of which are planted in the wrong place. Maybe you can transplant them elsewhere. If you do the pergola and new siding it will certainly make a strong statement. I would create a rock garden in front of the patio/pergola with stepping stones coming down to the curb or to another most travelled destination. Fill the rock garden with ornamental grasses, low growing evergreens and perennials . Plant small blooming trees on each side of your house for balance .

Yes - I'd do something like this rock garden in front of the pergola/patio . A blooming tree on each side of the house , stepping stones, with pebbles as mulch - plant sedums, ornamental grasses, low growing evergreens and perennials and some nice boulders/stones for accents.
