You might be able to do so but the only limitation is how much space is left in the ceiling canopy to hide the cables. The canopy can only hold so much wire. We have not tested the exact amount of wire it can hide but if you are planning on reducing it a lot it might require you to do some electrical work. If you try to push all the wires up inside you run the risk of damaging a wire. So it is best to adjust the wires before you put in on your ceiling and see how much you can fit inside. I would suggest cable ties to keep the wires neat. This will allow you to hide more wire inside the canopy than just randomly pushing it up inside the canopy. Hope this helps.
