Have you checked out Mannngton Adura Flex Tile.

We have checked out some of the Mannington Adura products, but the ones carried by our favorite local flooring store seem to have an embossed texture. We also installed a COREtec floor in our recently renovated upstairs bath to try out how we liked the vinyl products.

Back in the day, we had laminate flooring that was very smooth with basically no texture. We loved it. I was wondering if there was a similar texture available in the vinyl flooring.

The Adura is smooth if you go with the one that looks like oxidized steel I am not sure what your issue is with a bit of texture

Smooth means "slick" and slick means dangerous in wet areas like kitchens, entrance ways and baths. And these are the main areas where vinyl is used specifically for its water proof qualities. And this is the main reason why you are having a hard time finding non-textured vinyl.

If you want smooth, then linoleum would be a great option (think school or hospital flooring). If you are using the vinyl in DRY areas then go ahead and find 'smooth' (but NOT on stairs...you need texture on stairs). If you want it anywhere near drops of water then you will want some form of embossing; otherwise it is far too slick for safe use by anyone in bare feet.

Actually, I do not personally have an issue with texture, but my husband is adamant about smooth flooring. After having spent hours and hours in local tile stores petting the tiles with him to find one he can stand that is not polished (as I would prefer not falling continuously in my kitchen), I was just looking for another option to consider other than the one tile in the entire universe that he seems to like.
