Some blooms from the North

Hi Folks, well your hot and humid weather has reached us and truthfully it is unbearable . I might as well live in the deep south .....temps have been in the 95 plus degrees

with the humidex adding to that and just breathing makes you sweat . I have gone out early to try to capture some images of the daylilies just starting to bloom here . Here are a few , the fogginess is probably due in some part to the drifting of the smoke from more north forest fires according to the weather forecasters. :

Camera is not picking up the chocolate in the blooms same as below

Again this is more brownish than it shows here .

Nice group. Wonder Of It All looks great. So much ruffling on the edge. Hope your temps break soon and gets more comfortable.

Pretty blooms! Alberene is my favorite of the group. Sorry to hear that you have the extreme heat and humidity there! I hope it's over soon. I heard something the other day about the Canadian fires having an impact on things here in MI - I noticed driving home on Tuesday evening that things looked really hazy, I think that might have been why.

Alberene is quite fetching and the color of Matisse is so pretty. You are indeed having southern weather, more’s the pity!! Garden shots look like lots of buds this year!

My favorite is Wonder of it All, I’ve hesitated getting it over the years, wondering if it would open correctly. Yours looks great, would probably do ok here. We’ve had a haze in the air from the Canadian fires here in northern Illinois, the air is better today. I also love the color of Matisse.

One plus to that heat - Wonder of It All opens well in that kind of heat and humidity. Alberene is bright and beautiful!

I like the color of Matisse. That a beautiful clump shot too. I hope your temps get back to normal, and wish that wasn't necessarily normal here, but it is.

Sorry for your high temperatures. We actually had a "cool" front move in. It's only 90 and the humidity has gone under 50%. Won't last that long however before we are back to months more of sweltering heat.......Alberene has a color that stands out, and Matisse does too. Wonder Of it All is just the type of daylily form I like. Very nice indeed..............Maryl
