I think that I would space the dwarf lilies a bit apart, personally.

I don't know the name of the bigger one. It was one I bought in a bag at Lowe's years ago. I wish I had kept the name.

Very pretty! The Oriental lilies are so showy.

The scent of Oriental lilies is one of my favorites. I've said it before -- if heaven has a scent, it must be that of lilies. Funny, though -- DH can't stand them LOL!

I have no ID tall one back in the vegetable garden -- it is a spectacular, pristine white and extremely fragrant. They're too tall to plant by the house (the foliage of lilies is u-g-l-y...). Closer to the house I grow the dwarf -- I have "Mona Lisa". it's a heck of a lot easier to hide the foliage of the dwarfs behind other plants. I'll try to remember to snap some pics of the white ones when they open.

Mxk3, I love the scent too. I just opened my back door and could smell it and they are not that close to the door. I would love to see pics of your lilies when they open! I just googled Mona Lisa and I love it!

Here is one I can recommend by name if anyone wants a strongly scented one. It is orienpet Silk Road. It grows nicely here in zone 7 Virginia. I can easily smell this 25 feet across my yard. The aroma is sweet cinnamon. Blooms are 6 to 7 inches. The prices I've found online run just $4.50 to $9.00

Mine grew at 3 feet for many years, but for the last 2 years it has grown to 5 feet.

I bought Silk Road from Van Engelen a few years ago. I don’t think they still carry them. They get quite tall here. I’ll try to post a photo.

Iowa Blooms, your plant is amazing! So pretty!!! Do you have to stake them up since they are so tall?

I do not intentionally stake them but they are growing against a fence, in an area we fenced off to protect plants from deer. Every year these lilies grow up against the fence, reaching toward more sun.

The post is 5 ft tall.
