We got a couple of quick bursts of rain today, and I'm hoping we get some of that rain from the tropical storm in the gulf in the coming week. I think we've had a bit of rain each of the past two weeks.

We hot some rain here too, about 1/2". Thundered and looked like rain all afternoon long though.

I had to spend the day watering my beds. We've had so much rain all year that I haven't had to even think about dragging the hose around to hook up to my soaker hoses this year. I kept looking out the window at the drooping leaves of my Hydrangea wondering what sort of horrible soil disease I must have for it to look like that when suddenly it occurred to me that it might need water. Duh! Sure enough it did and it perked right up after watering (which was a relief)...........Maryl

It's been dryer here, but we have such a huge surplus that things are still looking good. We are supposed to get the gulf rain Wed.

I was pretty sure that was the case. We have gotten a couple more decent showers, but still not quite a 3/4 inch. Send it on.

Heat and humidity is coming along with storms starting Tuesday afternoon through Thursday per our local forecaster. I guess tonight will be the last opportunity to deadhead if the weather prediction is correct.
