Sphinx moth ID help, please

Had a thunderstorm last night. I was going to grab the umbrella from the porch and get something from the car, but it was occupied.
Made a mad dash without it. Any idea what kind this might be? Got a mate before she was even ready to fly off. The brown would be the more real color. Head to tail it was about 40 mm.
