When you rebuild that, it can’t cover the window. That makes the bedroom be without an emergency escape and egress window, which is required. The room cannot legally be called a bedroom without that escape direct to the exterior.

Plantation shutter on sunroom side with louvers left open. You still let light into the bedrm. yet aknowledge and decorate the sunroom window. Hopefully there is another exterior wall you can put the bedrm. window on when you renovate. Or is it the master bedrm.? Put a small sliding glass door in place of the current window. Direct access from your bedrm. to sunroom.

I was going to say the same as GreenDesigns. That's not a legal egress because it opens to another room. Is there another outside wall where you can add a window when you remodel so you can close that up?
