These are so pretty. I like LAZY Cat probably the best, though most of the purples will do! I don't like the crested or whatever it is. Never heard of it. Looks like daylily leprosy.

REally nice shot of Lazy Cat. Yup, love the cat name.......Little Jazzman looks good. A few smaller ones brighten up pots on the patio table......So I'm trying to just like UF's in general and now there's this funky stuff growing in the middle of a daylily I'm supposed to like that too? I'd have to see it in person for one thing, but I don't think it's ever going to be on my menu.........I like the colors and rounded form on Opportunity Knocks, but it looks like the ruffled edges have gone berserk............ I guess I am the odd man out . My selections are Bee;s Betty Sue, I added it last season and saw it's first bloom today . I also added Michael's Sword and Texas Feathered Fancy last season so looking forward to seeing it bloom this season ........and I would kill to have Believe. I did get some seeds with Believe as one of the parents ( hoping for some cresting from these) As I have said before , I like the oddball blooms

Ooooohhh WOW......This crazy (but not lazy) cat lady loves LAZY CAT! Why haven't I heard of it before this? I have acquired several daylilies just for their 'cat names' and this one has a cute name, great form, and it's PURPLE. I love it! I also like Mayan Dark Eyes. The crested forms are just not for me.

Lazy Cat is my pick today. Thanks for posting a picture of Mayan Dark Eyes. We (our daughter) just got that, but by the time I got to see it, it was all banged up.

I am not sure I like those crested/cristate bearded ones. Maybe if I saw them in person, I could appreciate them.

Another very interesting post. I wonder how a Pierce like Master and Bold Ruler is growing. One doesn't see the bud count and doesn't know how many winters it has survived. Hadn't seen John Hawkins before; another Peppermint Delight kid. From looking at the flyer, I would have a hard time deciding what to visit. With a starting time of 10 a.m., one would hope for overcast skies.

It was neat to see the crested/cristate ones in person. I had heard of Michael's Sword, so it was cool to see it in person. Believe was too much for me (looks-wise that is, I have no idea if it was for sale or for how much) - and the color was really blah to me. I think this place had other ones too, at least in their catalog, but I don't recall seeing others blooming - but I was on overload, so might have overlooked them. Signet, I know I've seen Bee's Bettie Sue in the past online and liked it. Kay, I don't know about Opportunity Knocks, if that was normal for it or not - the pictures in the garden.org database don't show that weirdness. I'm glad you ladies liked the Cat! Mantis, it was hard to decide which places to hit. The gardening friend I met there went to one other one after I left, she said it was kind of a let down after the first three we went to. I was just too tired and mentally exhausted to see much more after the first two gardens. If I could find an inexpensive hotel in the area, I might make a two day visit of it next time... assuming my husband won't mind me leaving him home dogsitting.

Just quickly looked at the pictures and price list for the Bs at Perennial Plant Peddler... Believe is display only, as are a couple of the other crested ones. In the Bs, I happened to see Bee's Bob Baker and Blondie's Lipstick that are also crested. There are a few pictures of each. Laura , thanks for sending that link . I have to agree that Believe's color is just "Meh" but boy the bearding . It is easy enough to change the color through hybridizing , but the trick is to keep the bearding . I have asked a grower here to put my name as wanting Journey of Angels by Best when it increases enough but the bearded daylilies are not easy to find here . I bought Bee's Betty Sue as it is one that was used to create Michael's Sword daylily. I also grow Lavender Blue Baby and Joan Senior here so I can try my hand at creating one here ( fingers crossed) . These also were used to create a couple of bearded plants .

Do you know if Perennial Plant Peddler ships to Canada ( I am guessing not but I can always hope ! ) I couldn;t see any purchasing or shipping info on the site
