My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Inexplicably lost a nice Cornus mas that previously shaded the area and now there's about 3 hours of direct sun. For the most part the plants have adjusted. Astilbe, ferns, Pachysandra, and a couple Aruncus all still doing nicely. Glad you liked the pic.
I see what appears to be an elderberry in the background too. Lovely grouping!
I lost half of a peach tree this year that provided shade to my enormous blue hosta (probably elegans) and it is suffering terribly. Most of the leaves are crisp and yellow. I've been considering adding some sort of shade cloth over it.
The ground cover is Pachysandra which has white flowers. Ken, I have a yellow-flowering sedum and it is called Angelina. You might be referring to another which I also have but the foliage is almost a miniature version of what you are referring to in the above photo. Name escapes me at moment, sorry.
