It’s a paniculata hydrangea which cultivar hard to say especially as flowers are small and not mature. See what happens with the flowers and if the color changes as season progresses.

Hopefully, it is one of the newer compact paniculatas as these guys tend to get large and the plant is very close to the house. Little Quickfire, Little Lime, Bobo, Strawberry Sundae, etc.

Yes, thats why I was asking, because I want to move it but I dont know expected size because I dont know the variety. I suppose I'll know by fall then! I bet it is little quickfire... how will I know whether its the little or regular QF? Any difference in the flowers or color, etc?

When was it planted? Do you know ?

I have not observed obvious differences between Little QF and regular QF so plant size is the only way.

Planted last year i believe?

Update, we have flowers! Any identification possible now?

Not fully open yet but here are a few links with a few common paniculatas:

Looks a lot like my Pinky Winky which is also about right as far as timing since mine are just starting to open in my slightly more northern zone. My Pinky Winky at 10 years is at least 8’ tall and 12’ wide, a quite large plant.

Is there a dwarf pw? I cant imagine I wouldve even thought to put it in this space with an estimated growth even close to that.

Estimated growth for PW is usually 6’-8’ that I have seen, but often estimates are for 5-10 years.

Little quickfire seems to lose its bright white very quickly. Little quicksmoke? From a distance mine is now an unattractive beige.

The panicle shape doesn’t look like Little Quickfire.

it's most definitely pinky winky, I've been looking at other pictures... it looks exactly the same. I must've been duped with an incorrect growth estimate on the tag. I'm going to move it :)
