We recently moved to another state, and bought a house with ceramic tile flooring throughout the majority of the house. It is a cream, tan, and brown mottled look, not my choice, but it was installed by the former owner. There is a massive brick fireplace, of orange-ish brick. Currently, the walls are a cafe au lait color, with the bedrooms, kitchen, and baths a pale green, definitely not my choice. I want to paint, but I cannot for the life of me pick a color that will work with the floors and the fireplace. I have a small collection of Francois Boucher tapestries on the walls, and I know I want to pull a color from these.
