Avocado tree help

I live in San Jose, CA and have these two avocado trees in planters. I live in an apartment and will move to a house in 1-2 yrs and that's why they're in planters.

One tree was hit by a 3 day heat wave of 100+ and I wasn't around to move it or cover it. It lost its leaves but it's branches are growing new ones and budding still. It has brown wrinkly tips. Will it survive and should I trim those brown parts off?

Second tree is healthy but you can tell it split into two tree branches early in life. One side is flourishing and has tons of leaves. The other branch is brown but still has growing parts. What should I do with that one?

I post pics of them. Thank you.
