We used 24" x 24" porcelain tile on the walls of our 4' x 7' shower. Our layout worked well with that size tile. You might want to figure out how you would place them and what cuts would need to be made. Make sure you have a great tile installer.

I am also using 24" x 24" porcelain tile in the bathrooms that I am renovating. The large tiles are easier to clean, and we will be using 1/16" grout. I much prefer large square tiles to rectangular ones, and I was told that in my region, the large square tiles are what people are now preferring, although I don't care what anyone else is doing.

Tile in your shower has to relate to tile on the floor..............nothing "stands alone" in a bath.

Thanks. Floor tiles and shower floor tiles are the same color - 12 x 24 and 2 x 2, respectively. The shower wall tile is complimentary, 12 x 22. I think the combination works- just thought the size might be too large but sounds like it's not.
