Hakuna Matata is a pretty one. Your first seedling has a great edge, and the older one makes a pretty clump!

I have often wondered about Hakuna. It is a pretty big plant, is it not?

Hakuna Matata was just received this spring, so I am not surprised it is not as tall as it should be, although it is probably about 40". The foliage is very sturdy, but the scapes don't look as sturdy for a 50" scape, so I am wondering how well it will hold up the flowers at full height.

Thanks Debra. The clump is just a seedling from HOwdy, looks pretty much like its parent, just a lot taller, about 1" larger flower, and blooms later. The only reason I have kept it is because it is a late bloomer, but it does bloom well. I see I have a nice bit of grass growing in the middle of it.

Hakuna Matata is very pretty.

A daylily seedling taller than Howdy, mine is 40”. Oh my, I don have enough room for many that big.

How did the photos go to the end of the post? Houzz craziness again! I would keep any seedling that was a late bloomer.

Thanks everyone! Sherry, I got Howdy in trade many years ago. I have wondered, because it is short, about 24", so my seedling is about the height Howdy should be.

Hakuna Matata is indeed pretty. Your seedlings look good! The Howdy seedling puts on a late show, apparently. Funny about Houzz. Everything is fine on my computer but haywire on my phone. So no, unless your name is Houzz, it is absolutely nothing you did!! :)

That second seedling is my choice today - lovely!

Hakuna Matata sure is a beauty, I love when they recurve like this. Your seedlings are pretty, I especially like the first one. How nice to have a late blooming seedling, I too have one that is not the greatest but reliably blooms late so it stays.

Ha, I also checked last night, and noticed the craziness with the comments. So glad it's back to normal.

I really like Hakuna Makata, That one is so pretty! I, too like that second seedling.
