I just painted my daughter's kitchen cabinets (and faux brick backsplash--looks much nicer now!) with Behr's Bit of Sugar. It's a nice white that doesn't read yellowish or bluish. It's just a pleasant white that I think would brighten attic walls without being cold looking. And I'm always very happy with the quality and coverage of Behr paint.

My two "go to" whites are Benjamin Moore's "White Dove " OC-17, it's a very nice white on it's own and can be used alone or as a trim for any other color. My second standard white is Kelly Moore's "Swiss Coffee". The good thing about Swiss Coffee is a lot of painters use it as their standard white, and some cabinet companies use it as their white.

You can color match either color in your favorite brand of paint.

I have recently started using the Sherwin Williams brand, and although the paint doesn't seem at thick as Benjamin Moore's, when you use their higher grade "Super Paint", I was able to have a dark gray cover in one coat of a light tan.

What direction are the windows facing? If North/East, you'll have cool light and cool whites will seem colder. Opposite for South/West light.

Great advice from Moico - definitely the structure needs grounding and Hydrangeas are Perfect! Maybe some window boxes would obscure those newer cedar shakes! Oh...and that black door isn't right.

I really like my BM Cloud White.

We like BM Super White, and used it on all the main living space walls upstairs, and on all the ceilings throughout (Aura paint; matte finish, satin finish on the base molding).
