horizontal handles kitchen pulls

Our kitchen has drawers of 27. 30 36 super Suzan and 9 inch full height. So we decided to go with 8 inch handles. My problem is that right after the full height is my pantry and I won’t have enough Space to fully open my cabinet.
So I give the rest of kitchen 8 inches and make the full height 4 ? Will it look ok. I want functional. And decent looking all in one.
Thanks

That is impossible for me to understand. Can you post pictures?

If you dont have enough space to open a cabinet, that is a pretty inconvenient problem.

9 inch full height. So we decided to go with 8 inch handles. My problem is that right after the full height...

I don't understand, either. What is a 'full height'? Pictures?

Add me to the list of those befuddled by this post...

9 inch full height means no top drawer. cabinet marked

W have another whole section of cabinets on the other side of the kitchen. But this is the part I’m talking about the 9 inch tall cabinet. Do I take a wide handles like the rest. Or put a knob or take a 4 inch handle ...

Would a 4 inch pull fit horizontally on the top of that drawer and not exceed the cabinet front? If yes, I’d go with that. Otherwise I think your options are knob, or place the pull vertically.

It’s fine to put a knob there

It’s a 9 inch wide cabinet wouldn’t an 8 inch in theory fit regardless ? I just am nervous I won’t be able to open the cabinet ..
and about putting it vertically will thag look ok if everything else is the other direction except this cabinet ? I want a practical functional kitchen just don’t want it to look odd ..

Revisiting your original post... yes - it will still look cohesive if you have pulls of different sizes, as long they are all the same type & finish.

We did 5 in pulls on everything except our larger drawers. We did 10 in pulls on those. It’s completely normal to have a couple varying sizes to fit your needs. It WOULD look very bizarre to have a an 8 in pull that was so big for the cabinet front that it exceeded the sides and blocked entry to your pantry. Now that would look weird :)

And my option is a knob idea versus 4 inch of same bar. Would that fit being that’s it’s 9 inch cabinet flus that enough clearance ?

Meaning is 4 inch bar going to allow me t open cabinet fully looking st my specs

Do you have any mock ups of the cabinets and pulls? I took painters tape and measured the length of the pulls on the cabinets to make sure I liked the sizes. Doing that either digitally or live might help you decide. Vertical may look great - or you might not like that and prefer a knob.

Is this a cabinet that opens like a door or is it a pull out drawer? Trust me- I obsessed over size of pulls in our house - as long as you pick a knob or pull in the same family it will look great!

So it’s new construction so I can’t be on site all the time. And knobs have to be ordered prior to kitchen install my sample know is arriving today but current kitchens doesn’t have a 9 inch cab so it’s little hard to figure out

I’m confused - the door in question is 9 inches wide? If so, why would an 8 in pull prohibit your from opening your pantry?

If you’re fretting about an 8 inch pull looking to big, grab the next size down and don’t worry about it. I feel your pain- I fretted over different sizes like mad. Someone here finally told me it really doesn’t matter - just pick a size and be done and I needed to hear that, ha!

It’s marked as a pull but we switched it to a hinge door. .. sorry about that confusion. It’s being. A narrow tall cabinet for cookie sheets cutting boards

Bec I’m placing the pull bar horizontal don’t knwo if there is enough clearance before hitting the 30 inch pantry

If you’re unsure - go with a knob. I promise it won’t look weird. TONS of kitchens have all pulls and one or two knobs. Function is most important.

We finished our new build a few months ago- I can completely relate to your frustration at this point! I had definitely reached decision fatigue at this point and struggled with picking knobs and pulls.

Go with the knob and don’t look back!! It will be perfect!!

There should have been a filler there. And a 7” filler at the wall? That‘s excessive and doesn’t even exist. The max filler size is 6”, and that’s still excessive. Water under the bridge I suspect.

That filler should be split into a 4” filler against the wall and 3” against the cabinets to the right of the pantry. Now you can open your doors.

    Who did this “design”?

That is a pull out broom closet using a slide system

Bro closet in the 7 inch filler panel

There is a 3 inch filler between the 24 wall cabinet and pantry exactly for that reason so it can be opened.

Right I respect that opinion however being that my house is out of town I’m not there all the time and the handles must be installed at the time of cabinets arrival. So I don’t have that option. So I kind of need to envision my kitchen and handles all in one

Is that your main sink with a base cabinet of 24 inches? Or prep sink?

I’m having 3 sinks my kitchen is quite large. But only posted th me area in question ..
