Possibly sunburn, too much light, too warm, not enough humidity. Did you use tap water? It has chloramine, and causes leaf edges to get necrosis from the ammonia. Try misting the air and moving to low light or artificial light. It looks more hairy and dull than is normal for that plant. I recall reading when leaves get too hairy, it can be a sign of a problem the plant is trying to defend against. Crunchy leaves can mean too much light.

Try leaching the soil or repotting it in fresh mix.

The leaves on that variety should be bright green and glossy, not hairy.

I grew it. It did not shape well but it stayed compact and seemed to always be in bloom.

I suggest restarting it if there is a healthy leaf to remove.

When I grew it, it lasted a long time.

Have you had it a long time? After a while, plants do age and decline. That happened to me with a few other older Lyon's varieties. They were fine for a long time. Years. Then suddenly began to die.

At the time, I was using Miracle Gro. I have since stopped using it for the long run. Joanne

Thanks for all the advice. I did just repot it per the suggestions - I think it needed it anyway, and the root ball seemed ok to me. I always water with spring water as our tap water is softened and I killed many an AV in the past before I found out watering with softened water is a no-no. The plant is only a couple of years old. I use Oyama pots and mix Optimara potting soil with perlite. I think the photo highlighted the hairs on the leaves. They really don't seem excessively hairy overall. We shall see.

Are Oyama pots ceramic? Ceramic pot inserts lose porosity over time. There is a way to restore them. A vinegar soak, I think. Sometimes using a different potting mix might help. I wonder if too much fert build-up? Maybe repotting will solve it
