Do these have the purple in the leaves? About how big is the mature size??

Hard to tell but the blooms are quite old. I would not worry about the leaves' purplish color. Like GG48 said, it may be mineral deficiencies in the potting mix; sunlight issues, etc. Nothing "deathly" to worry about much. If I use my imagination, it seems to be Blue Wave:

My OLH Alice did not get any answers so I will just ask here. How big would be the mature size of Ailce in my area 6B, NYC area?

If no one in NY chimes in, 8-10' tall down here so less than that in NY since your growing season is shorter, etc. Guessing, 8' in about 10 years or so.

All Mac in NY area will needs WINTER protection

Alice is an oakleaf, not a mac. They have them in Central Park (NY) but I am not sure how old they are.

hyed, i have several mac (macrophylla right?) they are doing alright without any protection. It maybe that my garden is very sheltered.
