Hi, Horrie ... Beautiful job! You have some really nice branching starting very low. Is this natural or did you prune them? I only have a few like that. It's good that you trimmed those little exposed roots because they would have atrophied anyway.

i have never prune these plants back, these are natural, all grown from my own seeds...theres quite alot of them with very nice branching at the base of the plants.

Vanuatu has a lot of rain last year, so I had to keep the plants of the rain, since I had done root trimming, however I did seal the cuts with glue but I had to take extra precaution. And also it’s a first time for me to trim roots for the young seedlings. I lost a few due to infections which could be due to the contaminatEd knife etc... but its something to learn along the way.

Please could you tell me how old those adeniums are. Are they just regular adeniums or some special variety of adeniums with such big "root" (I forgot the name for root). Thank you.

hi yovan, these adeniums are about 1 year 9months at that time. These are seedlings from my normal pink desert rose plants, or the normal pink adenium obesum. I strongly believe in plant watering, most of these plants in the pot plants I water them every second day. This is because the dry out very easily when they are in pot plants. Love there caudex didn’t think they would turn out this good.
