Metaseuqoia lighter foliage update

Couldn't find my last post to update. Earlier in the year I noted the lighter foliage on my now in the ground rooted cutting vs the parent tree and all 250 - 300 non Ogon Metasequooa I have seen.
This cutting spent last year in a pot in the shade and I swear it had normal color foliage
As an update the newer foliage is emerging a more normal green.
My best theory is the transition to a sunny environment with an assist by transplant shock caused the difference.
