Paint color help!

I have an open living room/kitchen with cathedral ceilings that desperately needs repainting. I'm having a heckuva time finding anything I like. The LR has a large north facing window overlooking a lake, so while it gets a lot of light during the day, it can get darkish. The kitchen has a south facing window but the way the rooms are set up, they'll have to be painted the same color. Here's a picture of part of the living room. The wall to the left in the pic is actually the large picture window facing north. I will be painting the ceilings white, so I know that will help, but what ideas do y'all have? I hate the current builder beige, but think neutral is probably the best route. Kinda like SW Wool Skein or Shiitake, based on their Colorsnap technology, but open to suggestions! TIA!
