Bathroom Remodel Help

Hi all,

I remodeled my bathroom — painted (shaded ice flat), new vanity and top, toilet, faucet, light fixture and towel and toilet paper hardware.

Looking for help with window treatment, decor ideas, soap/lotion dispensers, light switch cover. Thank you!

You need a warmer wall color that works better with your floors and vanity. Something green shaded blue maybe? Then for light control, maybe a top down blind, inside mounted. Then some great art, and a colorful rug, maybe in a darker teal. Towels in the darker color.

Could you relocate the towel ring away from the toilet and put it on the wall to the left of the sink?

am curious about the towel ring location. I have a similar layout, and the "obvious" spot seems to be as AJCN suggested, but ti's so near the outlet that I wonder about that. I guess it's not a concern.? In my instance there is a tad more space on either wall.

Color wise I have similar flooring and have been strongly considering SW Sea Salt which is similar to watery. I think those colors are nice, but I think the lighter ones considering the dark vanity would work better.

In our guest bath which has white flooring and white tiles/tub, I think I really like the Really Teal and the Lagoon. (but we have no windows there just the vanity lighting).

It looks real nice. Since it sounds like you also painted I think you can bring in color with curtains, towels and accessories. I would caution painting green in a bathroom.

Thank you for all the thoughts!

I just repainted so I can’t change the color.

Cheryl, Your suggestion is exactly what I’m thinking, bring color through accessories. I’m just having a hard time deciding.

Any thoughts on what kind/color soap/lotion dispensers, pot for plant, window treatment???

Salonva, I was planning to place the towel holder next to the light switch but my contractor convinced me to place this on the opposite side of the mirror where it is currently.

You have such a neutral backdrop that any color would work. What colors do you like? A small bath is a great place to step out of the box and go bold. I'm not crazy about your hand towel location either. To close to the toilet. Raising it might help a little but I would have put it on the other side. I get my towels at Costco. I love the quality and they usually go on sale for $5.99. Look for art you love to pull colors from. Or just look at everything available until you find something you love and go from there.

Sunk costs on the paint are sunk costs. You don’t change a clash in colors by ignoring it. Change the paint.

If you decide to move the towel ring you could cover the hole with art or some kind of open shelving

I made the mistake twice trying to paint my main bath a nice vintage color green. days agonizing over chips trying to match with accessaries I wanted to use. the first time it was fluorescent. but I lived with it for a couple years because I didn't want to ask my husband to repaint. I tried again to tone it down but it didn't work. still to bright for me. when we remodeled it I went a purple tint gray and just used the accessaries I had. you may be lucky with a green but I feel in a bath the color just makes you look sick. my opinion.
