I'm having trouble choosing a headboard for a king bed which recently replaced our queen. I really want wood, because I like the solidness of it but would it be better to go with another material? The dressers and bedside tables are light wood with just a touch of whitewash. I have linen covered cornice boards over the windows so I don't know if an upholstered headboard would be too much fabric. Maybe metal?? All the hardware in the room is brushed nickel, and finding that finish in a metal headboard has been difficult. Would another metal color work?
