I think your foyer is lovely and could be taken to the next level with just simple changes. It looks like your ceiling height is around 8 feet which means a chandelier isn't feasible but wall sconces are architectural and functional and add a bit of jazziness to the space. You could also add a pair of stately lamps instead, easier to execute if you have outlets in close proximity. If not, a good electrician can solve for either option.

I would also get an oversized hallway or console table. Something that would allow you to add a big mirror to bounce around the light through the space but would still leave room for you to place chairs on either side. I would pick a table that is lighter in finish to stand out against the floor. Lastly, I would paint the inside of your door a striking colour. Choose a colour from your home to unite the space with the rest of your house. I'm not sure about your style but I have a few inspirational pictures to demonstrate what I am suggesting.

I would also ensure that you have a runner for your long hallway to unite all of the colours but you should ensure that it isn't too narrow. That will accentuate the length of the hallway and detract from the space. Also don't forget about accessories (e.g. pictures, flowers etc. ).

Have fun. Your foyer tells your visitors the first glimpse of the feeling of your house. Be courageous!

OP, you just have too many items. If you go with multiple wall hangings, cut way down on what is on the table. Or get one item for the wall, and use a few items on the table. It’s nice, just a bit cluttered.
