my suggestion would be to try and break up the space a bit......try and bring that sitting area away from the wall and have it take up a bit more room if possible. Ideally you could add another chair (loveseat in front of the TV).

Start with a to scale floor plan posted here .It is impossible to get a feel for a space from disjointed photos . A good idea of the style you want , what you consider a must in a bedroom retreat . My clients find that even though they wanted a retreat they rarely use it so keep that in mind. Do you have walkin closets ? Where is the master bath when posting a the drawing , easily done on graph paper,make sure you show window placement closets doorways as much detail as possible with measurements clearly marked. Aso some idea of your budget . I happen to love gray bedrooms and this is a pic of one of my favorites

Those chairs do not look comfy. I have a chair in my bedroom with a reading lamp and ottoman so I use it all the time.

So for starters you have to get the items right around the bed

• The chevron wallpaper is a bit too busy for a room like this. You are trying to create a respite, not a circus so either paint or something more calming should be selected.
• Based on the scale of this room, the drapery panels should extend to the ceiling, no valance. That will provide your bed wall with a greater 'presence' and visually scale better in the room
• You need dressers, not nightstands on either side of the bed. This may eliminate the requirement for the triple dresser in the room
• New table lamps need to be larger for around this bed
• You'll have a place for some type of wall decor above the headboard
• There is room for a bench of some sort at the foot of the bed if you desire
• The area rug, which could simply be cut from broadloom to save money should be much larger to anchor the bed area.

For the wall with the TV you'll need a longer wall mounted unit. You can select a very inexpensive one from IKEA in a variety of colors and make it as long as you like. Doesn't have to be very deep.

I'd suggest you select a larger TV for this size room

Add some multiple art pieces on either side of the TV for more interest.

I would also agree on the wallpaper being to busy....I have seen a really cool room with a large area rug in Chevron...it looks way better than on the wall paper and it isn't as busy. just an idea if you still want Chevron in there.

Do you have a suggestion for the color of the back wall? I don’t have the original paint color, so to avoid painting the entire bedroom any suggestions? Thanks for all of the help! Now off to shop... lol

A floor plan would definitely help. I think that if you want to keep the current wall color but can't match the bed wall, you should look for a darker accent color. Your pictures aren't very large so it's hard to see the color of the bed. Is there baseboard heating under the curtains on the bed wall?

Yup, those would definitely be baseboards under the curtains.

Stephanie, can you provide us with a room layout with measurements? Difficult to gauge measurements from pictures. I think you may be able to rearrange your furniture better. You've gotten great ideas so far but I wouldn't go shopping without an actual plan for the room. My suggestion to you is to start with bedding. That will reset the tone and scheme for the room. Did you have any inspiration pictures?

Here are the measurements and layout of the bedroom. It’s certainly not professional quality but hope you can see the layout better.
Today I am painting the back wall a darker silver gray as an accent wall to avoid painting the entire room. I have white drapes with a gray satin lining for longer curtains. Other than that I haven’t shopped yet. My color scheme is gray and white. If I get the urge, I may consider trying to paint the furniture. My headboard is a light gray though.

I’m not looking for anything other than calmness and beauty in the bedroom.

Thanks for the layout. I have to ask: do you need extra dressers with three walk-in closets? I think removing that paper is a good idea. The pattern doesn't read as calm. What size is your bed?

Ha, probably not if we reorganized better. One of the wall in closets doesn’t have much shelving, but if we did that we wouldn’t need all dressers. We have a standard King size bed and the headboard is 79.92
