The dimensions are 3x9. Excuse the typo in the original post-I can’t figure out how to edit it!

If you can install a pocket door, I would. Otherwise it will have to be an outward swing door.

Double check code requirements but here's a brief rundown:

Door:

• No entry or fixture door should interfere with another door or the safe use of the fixtures and cabinets. Minimum 24 inch door width.

Toilet placement:

• The minimum distance from the centerline of the lavatory to a wall is 15 inches. Plan 30 inches for toilet.
• The minimum distance between a wall and the edge of a freestanding or wall-hung lavatory is 4 inches.

Front minimum clearance:

• A minimum space of 21 inches must be planned in front of lavatory, toilet, bidet, and tub.
• A minimum space of 24 inches must be planned in front of a shower entry.

Adding a small mirror to the space will make it appear much larger.

The first picture above is really the only option... the toilet on the long wall does not leave enough room for anyone standing or sitting to use it comfortably unless you do the extra work for a toilet that has the "tank" in the wall..

You do of course follow local codes before doing anything...
