We have solid wood floors throughout most of our home. They are in great shape but we don’t like the color. We are contemplating sanding them and refinishing them or just installing new floors.

We have 2 staircases that would need to be done as well which will add significantly to the refinishing price. We would like the wood to show on the stairs but would like to add a runner since they get slippery.

Questions:

1 -what color do you recommend (we are tan/brown theme scheme people not grey)

2 add rod iron to railing or keep white?

3 what color runner?

4 we have French travertine in the kitchen with cabinets the color of the current wood floors. Will we need to redo the

kitchen cabinets to match the new wood floor color?
