I agree. Remember that Sans are pot breakers, use plastic.

So when does it grow into the vertical spear shaped adult form? I thought that a smaller pot when encourage to grow more bigger/vertical instead of spreading out into smaller plants. Maybe I should thin it out to 3 or 4 spikes?

To each their own. Myself, I would separate each and every cutting (which is what they are) into their own pot and then let it multiply normally and fill the pot. Putting together many rooted cuttings give a faster fuller look. They will compete with each other to survive and the inner most cuttings will be harmed. Size depends on soil type and conditions the plant is kept in.

I like to have several cuttings together for that fountain look. However Stush got a bloom on his plant and I didn’t. Maybe that’s the reason. I think there are 6 plants in my 8 inch pot.

For some reason I can't explain, I think fuller pots do so much better then single specimens but I like the pot to be full with just one plant with many pups around it. But it takes a long time (years) and Barbs' method works faster and looks nice.

I have super phosphate in the mix. May explain the flowers so early.
