Looks like a 1960 or 70 version of a trike...can't read the label...is it a Murray?

I see stamped sheet metal parts and a tubular frame. The construction reminds me of trikes I saw during the late 1940s. The handle bar may be a replacement, however, some small tricycles did have out of scale handlebars to aid little tykes in controlling this toy. Since the pedals are on the front wheel, the rider must apply counter forces when pedaling else the trike will wobble aimlessly.

Never saw a trike that had pedals other than on the front wheel....nor have I seen one with wooden handlebars and sheet metal other parts.

I'm not sure the handlebars are wood, possibly oxidised or very dusty metal. I see what looks like a weld line where the part that attaches to the trike meets the crossbar.

It looks like what I learned to ride in the 50's. Tires are solid rubber - no air.

Colleen, it is oxidized - feels like metal - this has been upstairs in a shed probably 40 years

Perhaps the handle bars are not wooden but they are not original to the trike....and at the oldest that might be 1950...at the oldest.

The handle bar may seem out-sized, but that may be due to how this picture was composed. It appears to have been made with the lens set for wide angle and was near the trike. This causes an exaggerated view where objects near the lens are out-of-scale large compared the the background items.

Most likely, the handle bar is made of low carbon steel. It is very dirty and dusty. It might appear much different if it were cleaned. It looks very much like trikes ca 1950 era. I have performed minor servicing on these when employed at a service station. That was mostly lubricating and adjusting the handle bar height. The design of these did not change much from 1948 through 1958 when manufacturers and parents became interested is safer designs. Those old style trikes were easy to tip over. Plastic frames with vastly different shapes began replacing metal ones.
