For a modern kitchen like this, I would use three separate pendants. It's no big deal since the electrical is already up there.

All you need to do is choose the pendants. I suggest you start an ideabook for kitchen lighting, then browse the kitchen photos on Houzz or the internet and save the ones you love. That should allay your confusion.

Thank you, Groveraxle! So it seems we don’t need a track. I love the look. Was thinking of going with a clear pendant to keep the open feel but I do like this look.

Clear glass will look good, too.
