Color Blooms Annuals - Heavy Shade

I planted New Guinea in what I would consider heavy dappled shade - with some hints of sun depending on what time the angle hit's it ....ZERO blooms this year. Each New Guinea might have produced a single bloom here and there and shortly aborted itself.


I've planted NG for years...just never knew it would be a non producer due to the shade it get's


Anyhow, off to rethink this Shady Spot. I would like some color and blossoms that one get's with annual plantings. Any annuals you can recommend as I rethink this spot for next year
