My "slicer" tomatoes out in the garden did terrible this year. Poor production and even with spraying anything I can get my hands on short of Sevin, bugs have destroyed most of the tomatoes. Some kind of really ugly brown caterpillers even bT isn't working. Ugh. My cherry/grape tomatoes that I planted along the side of my deck, on the other hand, have been phenomenal. Black Cherry, Galina's, Isis Candy, Green Grape and Red Aperitif (aka Tomato-flavored sugar bombs!) Very few bugs on them, haven't had blight or Septoria or anything. I'm loving this and surely do recommend any and all of these varieties! I can't post pictures darn it.
