Help! Peruvian Lilies Dying Back

I've been trying to grow potted Peruvian lilies from seed and I've had to repot them twice in six months as they've grown up and crowded each other out. Last repotting was two to three weeks ago, and they're not seeming to recover as well as they did last time. I've repotted them in MiracleGro Cactus/Citrus/Palm soil (the new variety that doesn't have perlite in it), which seems to work well enough for my succulents, so I'm assuming provides adequate drainage. The rhizomes are firm and intact and not rotting, though when I unearthed one to double-check the roots did seem to have shriveled up and died back a bit (though I assume that's normal stress due to repotting); the leaves are yellowing, then going crispy at the tips, which I heard was a sign of nutrient deficiency, so I was considering either getting some 12-4-8 fertilizer spikes or soaking a couple handfuls of commerical composted chicken manure and watering them with the (strained) results.

Any advice that could be offered would be much appreciated.
