Friday's Few Blooms

Tom Adams is reblooming. I absolutely love the deep rich colors. It is tender so we are trying to recreate that color in a northern hardy one. We haven't succeeded yet.

Randall the Runner, another tender one, is reblooming too. We got one of our most beautiful seedlings out of it. Unfortunately, that seedling is puny. We keep trying to get something vigorous. We love the big eye.

Fulvous Brush Man just started blooming.

Irish Vampire Fangs almost died last winter. It finally sent up a scape with about 3 buds. This is the last one. It doesn't look much like its picture in the AHS database.

The last one is my daughter's seedling, Cosmic Sensation X Sportin' Life. I believe this is its first scape (and it just starting blooming).

Tom Adam's is my favorite, I love that rich color. Your daughter's seedling is really nice too.

What a shame Tom Adams is tender, it’s lovely! I hope you have success getting a hardy one with that color. That’s a really nice seedling too.

So much work goes into hybridizing. I don't think people realize how many hundreds are discarded.

Tom Adams looks good with its saturated color, but my favorite is your daughter's seedling.

Put some good stats with that and it could be a real winner..........Maryl

I was wrong about the seedling. It is reblooming. That's a plus for it.
