Why pick just one?! What colors are in the adjacent areas? Orange would be my first suggestion, with blues and greens. Beautiful kitchen! Carry the wood to the top of the counter with a platter, some art and plants.

If you pick just one accent color, anything else added in will look out of place. Make it a collage of pretty things that draw your eye...

You are in the right place with looking at yellow or orange, but you want to find shades that are in the same family as the blue that you have, so a darker almost rusty orange would probably look great. If you want bright pops, go Orange/Yellow/Red. If you want subtle accents, stick to Purple/Green

Wonderful, thank you both! Burnt orange is actually one of my favorite colors of all so perhaps I'll lean in that direction. But I also like the idea of not being confined to one color. Now that I can see the options, I can totally incorporate all of them!

then tone it down with wood and natural stone accessories and compliment it with pretty pottery, etc. Mount it above the DW, then choose a colorful stoneware platter to lean on the wall (offset) behind the cooktop.

I agree with the rusty orange - very sexy paired with pale turquoise.

Take your color choices from your abutting room. When one has "open concept", the colors in the other room must be taken into account.

I find beauty in simplicity. Just an espresso machine, a Kitchen Aid mixer, and possibly a large vase with fresh seasonal flowers for the kitchen bar!

Go buy some flowers in different colors see what you like . Really I have no idea what your favorite color is if you have one use that. You have a great spot for a piece of art between the door and the window maybe start there.

There are a lot of hard, linear surfaces in this room. For that reason, I would get some oval, light to medium toned wood objects to add texture - an oval wood tray for fruit, wood salt and pepper shakers. Then accent with burnt orange - check out William Sonoma pumpkin color dish towels.

Right now I am on a teal kick and I have it in my kitchen, family room and living room. In my family room I paired it with with a golden yellow and red. I found an accent pillow with all 3 of those colors in it and picked other accents around it. If you love yellow and orange, I'd run with it. And you can easily change out those colors if you get bored.
