I think this really depends on your lifestyle...to put it simply if you mostly use your kitchen for coffee and to heat up take-out this is very cool...it you really cook and need stuff on the counters and other handy utensils on the wall etc. the drama would be lost in the normal kitchen clutter

I'm not a fan. For something that's meant to look freeform and artsy, I think it somehow just looks like it's trying too dang hard (which is probably how I look at the ripe old age of 50-something when my tattoos are on display ;-)).

I am not a fan of the one Jim shared. Coincidentally, I have something of a similar freeform nature saved in my favorites. I strongly dislike the 'missing' tiles in Jim's image. I think I like the one below because it is a sort of organized disorder- IYKWIM

The tile on the wall seems the opposite of what it should be, which is easy to clean.

I've seen floors where mosaic tile blends into hardwood flooring, which I kind of like if it's not done in an overly busy fashion.

It's fine for a commercial setting. The partial wall tile just seems weird for residential. The floor tile would be fine in the right house.

I actually like the section on the floor and on the darker part of the wall. I would have preferred the section on the lighter part of the wall above the range to be completed to the level of the window divider and then flowing into the section on the darker part of the wall. That to me would make sense.

No, that tile doesn't speak to me.

I don’t like the way that particular tile and two tone somewhat coordinating floor was done. I have recently seen tile done in unusual ways that I do like. I probably would not be brave enough to do it myself but ...maybe I would.

I'm afraid that sort of thing makes my tummy feel wonky. I don't think I could bear to live with something so disquieting. I can't see any beauty in that.

I like it. I think it is playful. I did something similar in my mother's bathroom back in 1988, but I used 4x4 white tiles with black tiles interspersed to make the walls look like a crossword puzzle. I also did a red bullnose tile border around the walls. The walls I did had a symmetry to them, as crossword puzzles do, and so it was not completely random, as the example you showed appears to be, but I still like it.

I like the "random" pattern but don't like the three missing tiles on the wall. I remember seeing this last year in a showroom and thought it was fun but not for me.

Nope! I really like the hex tile itself but the randomness makes my brain hurt.

I like the concept, though not this particular execution. Justerrilynn's examples are closer to what I like. I'm actually thinking very seriously about an uneven top-line for my bathroom backsplash. Still looking for the right tile but I think a white/brushed brass inlay in a hex would look so cool, arranged like the blue & white hex design she posted. It's so "quiet" in there that I think it can handle the tension. No? My original plan was to have towers come down to the counter, and I can still do that, but I don't need the additional storage.
