Wow. Beautiful windows and doors. Those are French casements, right? Window treatments are going to be tricky. Can you hold off a little while and live in the space? I’d love to see more photos. The work looks great and what a gorgeous house you’ve brought back to life!

What kind of lighting do you have on the front porch and out front? Can you mock up some subtle lighting for both areas? That will help make it feel more comfortable at night, I think. The only downside to lots of glass is that it can be gloomy at night, but careful landscape lighting can help. I’d hate to see those lovely windows covered up!

they are casements. I don't plan cover the transoms. I just need to be able to cover the front windows for privacy as needed.

You could do a simple roman blind that mounts to the top. My house is about the same vintage, and I used something more sheer than this in the front and at the porch. It's pretty at night to be able to see some light from the street, and it's nice to be able to see out just a little. I ordered from Smith and Noble and was very happy with the results.

The classic solution is sheer curtains for daytime privacy. If you want to experiment a bit, buy some tension rods and inexpensive white or off white sheers. Ikea, Target, Walmart, Amazon have lots. Ikea is bringing back more lace patterns, BTW. For the doors, you may need top and bottom door rods to hold door curtains. The latter are often shirred on the rods, see:

Nighttime privacy will need something opaque: fabric curtains or Roman shades to go over the sheers, or some type of roller, accordion or honeycomb cellular shade which could fit under the sheers.

you need privacy from bottom up not top down- i would do the flex shades and keep them open unless privacy is needed then pull up 1/2 way

IMO with those windows so deep inside the porch daytime privacy should not be an issue and I honestly cannot imagine playing with all those roman blinds every night so if that is the route you take they will need to be motorized.
