Hi! It’s difficult to suggest anything without seeing a plan of the space. But right off the bat, if this was my space, I would look for places where it would make sense to have some space-defining walls (even short ones) - otherwise, furniture placement might be challenging in such an open space.

Those are probably not going to be cost effectively removed.

Well its staying there so you can just try to make the beam look better. Maybe the living room furniture arrangement can have a sofa in front of it?

Build around them. either a partial wall or closet, or shelf system.

If post has a structure built to anchor into nearby wall - it could add something from the entry view. FP is a cool option ...no it's hot. ;)

Looks like space my allow for an island there? Fabricate cantilevered or floating shelves to attach the the column. Clean it and clear coat it, or paint it black. Any way you go you have the beginnings of a unique architectural feature!

Enclose the post, and create an angled corner facing living area... could have a tv there, I assume to fit before it comes to the opening to another room.

IMHO wrap and trim them, work with an interior-person to let the furniture define the spaces.

You don’t remove support beams!! They are there to hold up your home!!
