The mercury glass one is beautiful and would be really gorgeous with polished nickel hardware (or chrome if the light ends up looking cooler-tone in reality)

I looked at mercury glass for the benefit of not having the exposed bulb-light in eyesight, but I do wonder if the light it shines is bright enough...have no idea if the mercury glass keeps the brightness of the task-light focused downward with ambient-light effect. Maybe someone who has them will chime in, but they are beautiful

Above these three pendant lights, there will be six recessed lights and a seventh above the sink, might that make a difference in the overall rooms brightness? Good questions to think about though!

I'm sure you will be fine with task light, especially with all those recessed lights...and especially if they are LED. I just like my pendant lights for ambient light when I want no recessed lights on. But I do love those bell shaped mercury lights you posted. If you end up with them, please post how you like them!

We have mercury glass pendants and I love them-everyone compliments us on them. Very unique and add a bit of jewelry to the kitchen without the glare of clear glass.
