Are you looking for layout or decorating critique? If it's layout, I'd want to see a plan of the whole space.

Are those mirrors as a headboard? How high is the ceiling? Sorry, I might not be understanding it correctly.

But overall I'd say you need larger nightstands. Something heavier. Although I guess it depends on your desired style?

Do you want to step on the rug when you get out of bed in the morning? Sorry - more questions than answers from me.

Thanks Flo, I think you're right. I was contemplating losing the green and going more monochromatic. Working on a new plan now, with bigger night stands.

And to DDS LLC, more decorating tips. Those are actually pictures that will be hung above the bed, and the rug would be centered in the room under the bed. Sorry my photoshopping doesn't make it easy to envision.

You could "layer" some rugs too. that would be cool. Do a geometric on top of a solid color one, then you could still angle the geometric. I think that is great look. Something unexpected!

And flo, would you change the color of the lamps as well?

I would definitely go for bold lamps. Maybe even wall mounted, plug in swing lamps? Saves night stand space and can be used for reading nicely as well, and another cool factor!

Oooo love a lot of those! Trying to avoid mounting too many things to the walls because its a lease though :/

Here's a bigger night stand (just imagine another one on the other side). And I was thinking about doing a black throw / blanket. Open to other ideas for lamps or art work.

It is very easy to hang these. Small sheetrock screw Molly’s these lamps are pretty light. Easy to fill holes with Spackle. I like the beefier night stand. Have you considered wider options? Like perhaps low bookcases. I will play with some ideas for you. Bbl

Here is a mock up with some basic ideas. You could add one colorful pillow for some interest. I tried showing the art above the night stands and added low profile simple gray headboard. For fun added a pair of arc lamps instead of putting holes in the walls.
