Listing photo (sorry I’m having trouble uploading the photo with the view of the closets - it’s a screenshot from the listing video). They are two closets with mirrored sliding doors. There is a big “gap” in between them with a dresser and a tv right now, but it seems like under utilized space).

Building in closets along that whole wall makes sense (obviously you lose the tv spot). The pax system is good. Will you be doing the demo and assembly yourself?

Thanks. I’m thinking we could DIY (particularly if I enlist the help of my dad, who is very handy for the demo and finishing parts).

We don’t mind losing the TV spot in favour of storage (to the extent we watch TV in bed, we use our iPhones these days).

Looks great! Not sure whether wardrobe units are better than just framing in a continuous reach-in closet and then customizing with California Closets or EasyClosets or whatever. But either way, that whole wall can be great.

I love Pax IMO the best storage and organization you can get for a decent price.

It occurred to me that one possible complication is that there may be a sprinkler system in the closets... (it’s a strata townhome). I will have to confirm when we move in two weeks. If there is, we might be stuck with reframing a bigger closet versus using the wardrobes. I’m hoping pax works out though, a so quite like the organizational options!

Any thoughts on the colour of the pax (dark brown or white?). The en suite has dark wood:

Id also like to keep my current (dark) bed (picture is not in the new room. The nightstands are unlikely to fit in the new room).

However I really like the Idea of brightening the new room up, and going with white closets. Could this work with the other dark wood?

Congrats on your new home. FWIW, with my master bedroom addition, I wasn't able to do a walk-in closet (due to windows on 3 walls) so I understand your dilemma. In my case, I chose to put a long reach-in closet along the one remaining wall with two pairs of doors. BTW, since your new home is a townhouse, do you think any of your new neighbors would have the same layout? Maybe someone else has come up with a clever idea we haven't thought of. (?)

Also, great idea with respect to neighbours. There are only 4 townhomes (rest is a tower), and they are all slightly different (I think some of the towers have more square footage on the first level and less up stairs), but I’m going to see if i can find any old listings for the other 3 online to see what others have done.
